We will show you how to restore the factory settings from front panel when the ControlSpace EX processor does not start properly.

Procedure
Here are the steps to restore the ControlSpace EX processor to factory settings.
- Turn off the EX processor (unplug the AC power cord)
- Turn on the EX processor (plug in the AC power cord)
- Wait for the EX processor name (e.g. EX-1280C) and the Bose Professional logo screen to appear.
- Press the rotary knob on the right side of the front panel repeatedly until the Restore ControlSpace Defaults menu appears.
- After 2 seconds, turn the rotary knob to select an option
- Default design file (returns the configuration file to the default)
- Default network settings (returns the control's network settings to the defaults)
- Default design file and network settings (returns both configuration files and network settings to defaults)
- Exit with no change (Exit the menu without making any changes)
- If you select one of the first three options, a confirmation screen will appear. Select Yes / No and press the rotary knob.
If you select No, you will return to the previous menu screen.
- If you select the default design file option and press Yes, the EX processor will start after the following screen is displayed for 2 seconds.
- If you select the default network settings option and press Yes, the following screen will be displayed and the EX processor will restart.
(The control IP setting will be DHCP)
- If you select the exit with no change option, the EX processor will start after the following screen is displayed for 2 seconds.
After restoring the configuration file or network settings, check the network settings on the configuration file and the network settings in ControlSpace Designer.
