Procedure

Start by opening or downloading a project file. Regardless of current hardware IP settings, you can download a file as long as an RTC device is visible in Hardware Manager. Use System > Retrieve Saved Design. Save your file as a backup.

When you download or open the project file in ControlSpace Designer, it will automatically set the "Project Network Settings" to the same range that is saved to the file. If these settings are different than what is set to the hardware, Hardware Manager will show "out of project" on each device that is not in the file's project network settings range. You will not be able to go online with your project.

To change the hardware IP settings while the file is loaded, select Update in Hardware Manager to set the device IPs to match the file's IP settings and range. This might put the device IPs out of range of your current PC network settings. Set your PC network settings accordingly.

You'll then want to check each device's individual IP in the file by simply looking at the bottom of each device block in Project View. If the last 1-2 octets of each device are not matching the hardware, use Hardware Manager to update them to match.

At this point you'll want to save your file and go online.
