This article describes how to connect and set up the Noise Cancelling 700 UC headset using the Bose Music app.

From a smartphone or tablet, the Bose Music app allows set up and control of 700UC headphones, choose the voice prompt language, adjust noise cancellation levels, and manage other headset features.

Procedure

Download the Bose Music app

1. Download and install the Bose Music app on the mobile device.

Connect the headset using Bluetooth pairing

1. Press and hold the Bluetooth pairing button on the right earphone until the Bluetooth indicator flashes.

2. Open the Bluetooth settings of the mobile device, find the headset, and click to complete the pairing process.

3. Open the installed Bose Music app and tap +.

4. At this point, the screen shows that the app is searching for the headset.

5. When the headset is found, the current battery level and basic information of the headset is displayed. Previously paired Bose devices also appear on this screen.

Main interface quick functions

1. Click on the 700 UC headset.

2. The main interface will be displayed.

A. Display the current remaining battery power of the headset.

B. Drag left and right to adjust the volume in real-time.

C. Drag left and right to adjust the noise reduction level in real-time. The adjustment range is 0 - 10.

D. Click to view the Bluetooth device management list. In this interface, you can switch, edit, delete, and add new Bluetooth devices.

E. EQ adjustment: The application provides four presets (low frequency enhancement, high frequency enhancement, low frequency reduction, high frequency reduction). You can also directly drag the EQ curve up or down to obtain the sound that suits you. Click Reset to clear the equalization curve.

F. Tips: Click to see tutorials for the functions of the physical buttons on both sides of the headset.

Enter the main interface of the headset and click the upper right corner of the application to enter the detailed settings.

B. Sound settings: Noise reduction and related settings

Noise cancellation settings

1. Remember My Last Setting: When you turn on the power, the noise cancellation level of the headset will automatically return to the last setting value.

2. Noise Cancellation: If this is set to On, the headset will automatically turn the noise reduction on when the headset is powered on. 

Equalizer

Equalizer: The app provides four presets (low frequency enhancement, treble enhancement, low frequency reduction, and high frequency reduction). You can also drag the EQ curve up or down to get the sound that suits you. Click Reset in the upper right corner to clear the equalization curve.

C. Preferences and Power

Auto-Off: Click to adjust or turn off the auto-off feature. The adjustable range is 5 minutes, 20 minutes, 40 minutes, 1 hour, 3 hours, and never.

Self Voice: You can hear your own voice when you are on a call. The adjustable range is High, Medium, Low, and Off.

Motion Detection: The headset is optimized to preserve battery life, and if there is no movement for an hour, the headset will automatically shut down, regardless of your current Auto Power Off setting.

D. Connections

Bluetooth: Click to view the Bluetooth device management list. On this interface, you can switch, edit, delete, and add new Bluetooth devices.

E. Voice assistant

Voice Assistant: You can choose a voice assistant on your device.

F. Voice prompts

Enable Prompts: Enable or disable voice prompts.

Language: Select your preferred language.

G. Accessories

Bose USB Link

You can decide how the voice assistant button (the lower one on the right) will work with Teams. Learn more at https://www.boseprofessional.com.

Control Teams Only: The lower button on the right ear controls Teams only (press to call up the Team interface on the computer).

Control Teams and Voice Assistant: When using the Bose USB Link, the lower button on the right ear controls Teams, and when not using the USB Link, it will access your voice assistant.

H. Support

Technical Info: This page will display the firmware version, serial number, original name, date of manufacture, and product ID.

In the first layer of the app interface, you can enter the Account Settings interface by clicking the icon in the upper right.

Background Updates: When the Background Updates switch is turned on, the product background firmware update mode can be activated.

Allow Push Notifications: Turn on to allow push notifications.

Allow In-App Messages: Turn on to allow receiving application messages.

Data Preferences: Turn on to allow app analytics to collect data to improve app performance and user experience and to send you more relevant information.
