Procedure

1 Headset upgrade

The headset upgrade can be completed through two ways: using the mobile device app or through a web browser.

1. Upgrade using the mobile app.

(1) Download the Bose Music app on your phone.

(2) Open the Bose Music App and click the icon in the upper right corner of the home page.

(3) Find "Firmware Upgrade" from the pull-up menu and click "Background Update."

(4) Turn on "Background Update." When the 700 UC is connected to the Bose Music app, the firmware will be automatically updated.

(5) When an update is available, the app will automatically download it. After the download is complete, the app will transfer the update to your headset, which may take up to 40 minutes.

Tip: The headset must remain connected to the app for this purpose. 

(6) After the update transfer is complete, click "Install Update" and follow the app instructions to complete the update.

Tip: During the update, the indicator light on the headset will continue to flash white, and the update will be completed in about 15 minutes.

2. Upgrade using a web browser

(1) Click to log in：https://btu.bose.com/#section=start

(2) Select the desired country or region, and then click to download the Bose Updater installer.

(3) Click to run Bose Updater installer.

(4) Use the USB-A to USB-C cable provided with the 700 UC to connect the headset to the computer. 

(5) Click to log in: https://btu.bose.com/#section=start, and wait for the webpage to search for 700 UC. The headset should be powered on.

(6) Click Upgrade. (When upgrading, please ensure that the product and computer are not turned off, powered off, or disconnected. If the page indicates that the product is the latest, there is no need to upgrade.)

2 USB Link upgrade

1. Click to log in: https://www.boseprofessional.com/en_us/products/conferencing/headphones/headphones_accessories/bose-usb-link.html#v=bose_usb_link_black

2. Download the corresponding Bose USB Link Updater according to the system used.

3. Find the downloaded Bose USB Link Updater installation package and click Install.

4. Run Bose USB Link Updater.

5. Plug the USB Link that came with the 700UC into the computer and wait for the Bose USB Link Updater to display the product.

6. Click Upgrade. (When upgrading, please make sure that the product and computer are not turned off, powered off, or disconnected. If the software prompts: Your firmware is up-to-date, it indicates that your firmware is the latest version, no need to upgrade.)
