When using the Panaray MA12 and MA12EX with a high impedance (70V/100V, constant voltage) amplifier, a transformer is necessary. The model of the transformer accessory for MA12 is CVT-MA12; the model of the transformer accessory for MA12EX is CVT-MA12EX.

The following will take CVT-MA12EX as an example to describe how to connect the transformer to the MA12EX.
1. Select the location where you want to install the transformer. One transformer can provide constant voltage signals for up to 2 MA12EXs. The following figure provides four possible installation locations.
2. First connect the output signal of the power amplifier to the transformer using a Speakon® NL4 connector with terminals connected to match the application as shown below. Connect the output of the transformer to the speaker using the terminal barrier strip for applying the desired tap setting.
3. Install the transformer on the speaker using the coupling bracket connector in the transformer package, as shown in the figure below.
