This article gives you information about a ControlSpace error which only appears with versions 5.1.1 and 5.2.
When using ControlSpace Designer versions greater than 5.8.2, you will not have this issue.

Symptom

If a design is created in ControlSpace Designer 5.1 or before and then updated to version 5.1.1 or 5.2, recalling a Parameter set via GPI will generate a red power LED.
After a power cycle, it will also throw an error notification:

Relevant Product(s)

  • ControlSpace Designer
  • ControlSpace ESP DSPs
  • ControlSpace EX DSPs

Resolution

To resolve this you can make a "Downgrade" to version 5.1:

  • Scan for Devices as soon as the unit has booted
  • Upload empty Design File
  • Downgrade to CSD 5.1 or below
  • Power cycle the unit
  • Upload original Design File
  • For the EX-440C, EX-1280 or EX-1280C, instead of Step 1-2, you can also Restore the Design to the Factory Design

A better option is to make an "Upgrade" to version 5.8.2 or higher:

  • Scan for Devices as soon as the unit has booted
  • Upload empty Design File
  • Upgrade to CSD 5.8.2 or higher
  • Power cycle the unit
  • Upload the updated Design File
  • For the EX-440C, EX-1280 or EX-1280C, instead of Step 1-2, you can also Restore the Design to the Factory Design
