Procedure

Before beginning, make sure that the Bose Discovery Tool has been successfully installed on your computer and that you have obtained the latest firmware version for the PowerSpace+ amplifier.

The Discovery Tool is the same for both models.

(You could also obtain the Discovery Tool application by visiting bosepro.link/psasw.)

3. Install Discovery Tool on your computer, and save the downloaded firmware.

4. Connect the computer directly to the ETHERNET port on the back of the amplifier or through a network switch. Open and run the Discovery Tool application.

5. Press the power switch on the front panel of the amplifier to start the amplifier.

6. In the application, click Refresh. The window will display the IP address of each amplifier on the network.

7. In DHCP mode, the computer's local connection can directly enter the IP address captured by the Bose Discovery Tool in the browser, or set the computer's local network connection to a static IP.

Please modify the IP address of your computer's Ethernet Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) to be in the same network segment as the IP address captured by Bose Discovery Tool, namely 169.254.22.X (X=1~255), subnet mask use 255.255.0.0.

It should be noted that the last digit of the IP address cannot be the same as the IP address of the connected amplifier, otherwise it will be unable to establish a connection.

8. Click Configure (you can also manually enter the IP address in your web browser and press Enter). The PowerSpace Configuration Utility appears in a browser window.

Note: To learn more, visit the help system in the interface of the PowerSpace Configuration Utility.

9. After waiting for a few seconds, we will enter the product configuration page. Click the SETTINGS tab, and then select FIRMWARE. Here we can see the current firmware version and other information.

10. Click Select File to select the P4150+ firmware that we saved on the computer before, and then click Update Firmware to upgrade. The whole process takes about ten seconds. Do not cut off the power during the upgrade or during the automatic restart of the device.

11. A prompt to restart the device appears, and the system will restart itself within ten seconds.
