The DXA 2120 requires that a jumper wire be connected when 70V/100V speakers are used.

Symptom

The amplifier does not produce audio when high impedance (70V/100V) loudspeakers are connected.

Ensure that there is a jumper wire connected from to 70V/100V INPUT on the output block on the back of the amplifier.

This image shows the output block with the speaker(s) connected and the jumper wire in place:

Why did this happen?

In order for the low impedance "speaker level" signal to be converted to a high impedance signal, it must be routed through a transformer. On the DXA 2120, this is accomplished by using the jumper wire. Without this jumper wire, there is no signal going to the transformer and so there is no signal going to the 70V/100V outputs.
